Building A Personal Brand

The reason to build a personal brand is to use this experience for your resume.

Then see how far you can grow this brand into your own thing.

I created my brand in 2013 it is called Jdv Graphics. This brand has over 547 subscribers on YouTube, 247 followers on Twitter / X, and less than 300 followers on different platforms.

Now building a personal brand takes time. Once you have some content that you like to do then it will grow slowly. You want to have steady organic growth over time to find new viewers with similar interests.

When you have a decent following (which is not needed) then you can create digital products. I have many different products from Ebooks, Print On Demand art, 3d models, and some templates.

I plan on making more digital products to see what is working. I do make a little bit from this ranging from $1 - $25. Once I have a bigger audience I think I can make more money and better products.

This business model takes time but is worth doing. So when you have time try doing this and see what happens.

Walking The Path Of Self

In life, you will go through difficult times.

These times will make you strong and build inner peace.

Inner peace will make your surroundings clearer and the fog will disappear.

The fog means stress, anxiety, internal problems, and mental health.

Each area of the fog will ease in time.

Once you understand the key of life then you will walk the path of self.

Path of self will mean oneness and being one with everything.

Spiritual practices don't teach this knowledge.

Reasons Why I Don't Use Fiverr and Upwork For Freelance Services

In this post, I will explain the reasons why I don't use Fiverr and Upwork.

I will do a comparison on the two sites and why to use free landing pages like Gumroad, Carrd, and other sites.

Reason 1, Cost

Fiverr and Upwork cost money to use. You have to buy bids or contracts in order to get clients. Now these bids have a time limit and they expire. When you use a site like Gumroad or other free landing page sites there is no cost to offer a service. Also if you want more features you can pay a monthly fee (which is optional)

Reason 2, Scams and Frauds

Both sites have too many scams and frauds. They will sell your information and hack your accounts. Sometimes they will close your accounts for any reason.

Reason 3, Getting Paid

If you actually get a client they will lower the amount of getting paid. For example, let's say you offer to create a logo for someone and you charge $25. A client will make you change the logo for $5 and sometimes ghost you and not pay.

Reason 4, Experience

I have over 10+ years of experience in Graphic Design, Social Media Marketing, and Personal Branding. Even if you have this kind of experience these sites still won't get your name out there. Its better to build your own following and offer services from there instead of using those sites.

Reason 5, False Information

There are lots of gurus on social media claiming you can make $10k a month with these sites. This is not true and most of these people are just click-bating and telling you to buy their course. Just be careful about who you follow and do your own research.

Here are the reasons why to use Gumroad and other free landing page sites.

No cost unless you want other features.

Charge what you want and post/services don't expire.

Easy to get a small following and get better reach.

Less fees for getting paid and better customer support if you have any issues.

It's best to use Gumroad and other free landing page sites. Build a small following and have leverage/connections for clients. Avoid freelancing sites like Fiverr and Upwork.
